The high-quality noodles of healtimie with green barley, which have been a sales competition in Indonesia for years, can be purchased for the first time in Germany and the EU since 2017.
The green barley leaves are a true “cornucopia” of nutrients.
For example, barley grass contains all vital vitamins, with the exception of vitamin D, which can be synthesized by the body.
Vitamin B9, also know as folic acid, is particularly strongly represented. In daily intake, folic acid contributes to strengthen the immune system, the formation of blood, the improvement of mental processes and the increase of energy and joy of life.
The vitamins C and E, the provitamin A, are also present. In addition, other B vitamins as well as valuable minerals such as iron, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc and copper are contained in the green barley grass.
Barley Grass: An extensive range of valuable ingredients!
For example, the product contents, compared to other foodstuffs:
- 2 x as much Calcium as cow’s milk
- 5 x as much iron as spinach and broccoli
- 7 x as much vitamin C as oranges.
However, the green leaves can still have some other outstanding ingredients.
As the color that we have seen, barley grass contains very much chlorophyll. The green dye is also called “blood of plants”. For example, the green chlorophyll is very similar to the red blood dye of hemoglobin in its molecular structur. The difference is made by a single atom. At the place where hemoglobin binds to iron, chlorophyll has a magnesium atom.
A further advantage is that more than 20 different enzymes have been detected in the green barley leaves, including the rare enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD) and isflavonoid usovitexin (2-O-GIV), which act as antioxidants in the body. Antioxidants are particularly irreplaceable in cancer prevention and cancer co-treatment.
